Fifteen minutes later, he was knocking on Evan’s door. Evan opened it.

“Hey, Ian.”

Ian entered, closing the door behind him. “They pulled the protection detail.”

“Good.”

“Someone is trying to hurt you, Evan,” Ian said.

“If so, they’re doing a shitty job of it. First, they missed when they shot at me. Then with the car. Now nothing. They gave up. So pulling the detail is a good thing.”

“What if they haven’t? Maybe they’re just waiting for us to stop protecting you. Since we aren’t any more, you need to be careful.”

“I’ve been careful. I am tired of being careful,” Evan stated.

Ian clenched his fist. Evan’s stubbornness would get him hurt. Before he could say something he would regret, Ian turned from him to leave. A hard hand jerked him around. Before he could process what was happening, Evan moved closer and kissed him. Ian stiffened, instinctively opening his lips. Evan pressed tighter against him. His arms cupped at the back of Ian’s neck, he ravished his mouth. Evan’s tongue stroked inside, setting off a wave of need through him. Just as suddenly as it had started, it stopped. Evan withdrew, taking a step away.

“I didn’t have any intention of doing that.” The horrified look on Evan’s face shifted to remorse. “I was just tired of you being so focused on protecting me instead of seeing me…as a man. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.”

Evan walked away. Ian reached for him, gripping his arm. Evan turned his head to him.

“It will happen again, and often. And I have every intention of having my way with you.” Ian tightened his grip, pulling Evan against his frame.

He slammed his mouth against Evan’s, kissing him hungrily. Evan moaned, holding him. Impatience filled Ian and he broke their kiss then unbuttoned Evan’s pants and removed his shirt. He stopped, taking in Evan’s lanky frame. His eyes were slightly glassy with need. His chest, with well-defined muscles, expanded with his harsh breaths. The cock Ian had felt through his clothing was quivering, pointing straight out from his body. Ian touched the tip, swirling his finger over the wetness. Evan shuddered. Ian raised his hand, licking the pre-cum from his fingers. Evan stared at his lips as he did so.

#TeaserTuesday ~ Wicked Attraction

For today’s #TeaserTuesday here’s a peek of what I’m currently working. I’m self-editing as I get it ready for submission. This is an unedited sneak peek. Also since this is sneak peek it might not make it into final submission of book.

Wicked Attraction
By: Talia Carmichael
Genre: Contemporary
Series: Bonds of Justice – Book 6

Mal stifled a smile as the man got more agitated. He wondered if it was his hair that bothered him most since he kept staring at it. Or maybe it was something else. Mal shifted and the man’s eyes darted to his mud caked boots. Mal smirked and crossed his legs making sure he saw the boots. His lips tightened and Mal counted that as a win.

“So I’m not sure why you are here.” That snotty voice matched the immaculately dressed man.

Mal wondered what he would do if he reached across the desk and tousled his hair.

“I’m your new boyfriend.” Mal said it just to see the man’s reaction.

And it was worth it. Mal leaned back and the assignment that had seemed ot be a pain in the ass was turning out to be more fun than he anticipated.

Back to Monday…

talcblock1Today has been a weird yet interesting day. Won’t go into details but…yeah weird. But it was a good day. Now onto what I was planning to chat.

So I’ve been doing some planning. Yeah I like to think on things then once it is mulled over and I know what I want to do I move ahead with it.

For instance I’ve been doing various posts on my blog since the new year started. Wanted to see how I felt about doing certain things. And surprisingly I liked all of it. 🙂 And now I know what I will do going forward. Love doing something that gets my mind working and wanting to do it. Blogging is one of those things and I wanted to find what works for me. And I have. So I’ll be blogging a few days a week then randomly on weekends (maybe…possibly…make no promises). Weekdays for sure but weekends I tend to be a slug and do nothing. 🙂 Well except watch TV, movies and so on. And read. Read and more reading. Did I mention reading. 🙂

I have some fun stuff I did like the Beyond the Book and I loved giving insights into my books. I decided I would do that on a more random basis…hmmm…maybe when leading up to a new book coming out…or something. Not sure yet still working it out. 🙂

So what does that title of this post have to do with what I wrote about. Well I went looking in the archives of my blog and Monday’s here was just a random whatever the heck came into my head. So that is what I am going to do. Go Back to Monday as it used to be before.

Thursday Thoughts ~ Perspective

ttperspectiveThinking a lot this week about perspective. Been working on some stuff and this came up. Now I’m working on figuring it out and need that perspective. So doing some thinking and working through what I need too. It’s like figuring out a puzzle with pieces that makes no sense. I know that it will work out but just have to think it through and working it out.

Malcolm returned to Leigh’s side and looked at him. Leigh tried to will his cock not to harden at the sight of his hazel gaze. His eyes were deep, mysterious and seemed to have the ability to see everything. At least that was how he felt as Malcolm focused his complete attention on him.

“We’ll get your apartment done first. I imagine it’s no fun living in a construction zone. I would like to make an addition to the plans you have.”

“What?” Leigh asked suspiciously. He didn’t want any more delays or expense.

“The den-cum-library set-up. I see that we’re just doing the rooms. We can build a custom bookcase directly into the walls, floor to ceiling in there. As well as an entertainment centre.”

“How much money and time will it cost me?” Leigh asked.

“Nothing and no time extra. Consider it a make-up for Frankie not being here as he should have,” Malcolm said.

“Okay then.” Leigh nodded.

“And also, in each of the bedrooms we can build shelving and entertainment centres, too. If you’ll let us. No time or charge for it.”

“That’s very generous of you.”

“Not really. I just want, when people come to your place here and the shop, that they’re impressed enough to ask who did it. And to have you give us a referral. Well, if we get things done to your satisfaction of course.”

“Well if you can get things done on time, I will,” Leigh said.

“Good. Now let me move these boxes over to the dining area for you, then we can head downstairs.” Malcolm went into the elevator.

“That’s not necessary—I can get them.”

“I’ve got them. Here, check over the changes I was referring to on the plans.” Malcolm held out the rolled up papers.

Leigh frowned but took them and retreated to the kitchen area. He spread them out on the island in the centre and studied them, impressed by the changes Malcolm had suggested. They would make the place look nicer. Leigh noticed a change Malcolm hadn’t mentioned and went through to the dining area.

“Hey—” Leigh’s mouth snapped shut as he got a view of a firm ass, as Malcolm bent over to put down a box.

Malcolm straightened, turning to him. Leigh bit back a moan as he got a good view of his package very nicely displayed under his tight jeans. Realising he was ogling him, Leigh jerked his head up. Malcolm’s gaze was warm and he didn’t seem offended. Leigh averted his eyes and held up the plans.

“There is also an entertainment centre in the living room. As well as what looks like shelving strategically placed around the area.”

“Yes. Is that a problem?” Malcolm asked.

Not really a problem but Malcolm hadn’t mentioned it. Leigh shook his head and went back to the kitchen. He placed the plans on the counter and sat on a chair. He braced his elbows on the counter, lacing his fingers together under his chin, and blew out a breath.

Rein it in, Leigh. He’s here for the renovation. And you don’t even know if he’s gay.

“You’ll do as you usually do Simon — succeed. You don’t know of any other way.” Hector’s softly spoke words filled the room.

They settled in Simon’s soul soothing him. Even with all the year they had been together Hector could still calm him down or make him pissed in a matter of a second. It was his knack and one in that moment he appreciated.

“I will.” He said with conviction he actually felt and he smiled this time a genuine one. “I’m a lucky man to have you by my side.”

“That’s not what you thought when we meet.” Hector snorted.

“Well at the time I thought you were an asshole and then you added to it by insulting my car. No one insults my car.” Simon lifted an eyebrow.

“Someone has selective memory.” Hector countered smilind. “I just commented on how unique you car was.”

“Calling it a piece of shit ready to fall aprat isn’t a comment.” Simon countered.

“Hmm…I don’t recall using those words.” Hector smiled wider.

“Let me refresh your faulty memory.” Simon leaned against him lacing their fingers together.

“Fine but I reserve the right to interject what I recall.”

“Fair enough.” Simon glanced at him. “It was a dark stormy night.”

“Really you could start it more unique than that.” Hector kissed him softly.

“But it was a dark story night…”

Beyond the Book ~ Detour: Scene from Cutting Room Floor

talc-beyondtbooktalccutfloor-detourBeyond the Book is about the idea, insights or concepts of how a book came to be.

This month’s for Beyond the Book I’ll be giving insights into Detour (Something in Common, Book # 1).

I’m sharing with you a brief part of a scene from the cutting room floor. It didn’t make it into a final copy of a story. Not even the publisher has read or seen it. This is unedited. Enjoy.

Series: Something in Common
Length: Scene

Watching Robert eat an ice cream cone was going to kill Miguel. The man had no idea how much he wanted him. The giving him time to figure it out was painful. Miguel shifted to ease the pressure on his erection. Robert just continued swirling his tongue on the ice cream oblivious ot the agony Miguel was in.

I’d like him to lick me like that. Miguel followed with his gaze the path Robert was taking as he licked. The sounds Robert was making should be illegal. It was wanton and Miguel wanted to be the one making him make those sounds.

Suddenly Robert stopped and looked at him. “Don’t you want your ice cream?”

Robert got that cute wrinkle between his eyes as he asked.

Only if I can lick it off you. Instead Miguel said aloud. “Yeah.” He gave his own creamy confection a slow deliberate lick.

Robert stared and Miguel held back a grin. Yeah you’re going to be mine soon.
